Top 10 Best Engineering Fields in Pakistan

After A-levels or inter qualification it is the main concern for many Engineering Students that which engineering field has good scope in Pakistan and which is the best engineering field in Pakistan. Almost every field has a scope if you are good in that field and it may vary from person to person. Always try to choose that field in which you have an interest.

In this article, we will tell you about the top 10 best engineering fields which have a good scope and future in Pakistan.

1. Mechanical Engineering

Mechanical Engineering is one of the broadest engineering field in Pakistan. Most of the work of Mechanical Engineers is related to machinery. Mechanical Engineers design power-producing machines, such as electric generators, internal combustion engines, and steam and gas turbines, as well as power-using machines, such as refrigeration and air-conditioning systems. The scope and future of mechanical engineering is very good in Pakistan.

2. Electrical Engineering

Electrical Engineering is also one of the broadest engineering field in Pakistan. Their work is related to electrical equipment. Electrical engineers design, develop, test, and manage the manufacturing of electrical equipment, from electric motors and navigation systems to power generation equipment and the electrical components of vehicles and personal devices. Electrical Engineering has a very good scope and future in Pakistan.

3. Civil Engineering

Civil Engineering design and supervise the construction of major public works projects such as buildings, highways, airports, bridges, and dams.

4. Mechatronics Engineering

Mechatronics engineers can work in many industries such as robotics, aerospace, medical and assistive technology, mining or defense, material handling, human-machine interaction, manufacturing, unmanned aerial and ground vehicles, and education.

5. Chemical Engineering

The main role of chemical engineers is to design and troubleshoot processes for the production of chemicals, fuels, foods, pharmaceuticals, and biologicals, just to name a few. They are most often employed by large-scale manufacturing plants to maximize productivity and product quality while minimizing costs.

6. Computer Engineering

Computer engineers typically work in an office setting. They manage and design the computer hardware and software systems of a company. Their duties include developing software systems, updating hardware, and designing new equipment.

7. Software Engineering

Software engineers create many types of solutions such as desktop and web applications, mobile apps, games, robots, operating systems, network systems, etc. They do so using programming languages, frameworks, databases, servers, and other technologies to turn an idea into a final product.

8. Petroleum Engineering

Petroleum engineers locate, recover and maintain the world's oil and gas supplies. Once oil and gas are discovered, petroleum engineers work with geoscientists and other specialists to understand the geologic formation of the rock containing the reservoir. They then determine the drilling methods, design the drilling equipment, implement the drilling plan, and monitor operations.

9. Aeronautical Engineering

Aeronautical engineers work with aircraft. They involve in the study, design, and manufacture of machines that can fly, or the techniques of aircraft manufacturing and maintenance. The machinery involves military aircraft, commercial aircraft, fight jets, missiles, and spacecraft.

10. Architectural Engineering

The Architectural Engineer is responsible for working with internal departments and external parties on building and design projects, ensuring the structural and functional integrity of building structures and systems, and identifying and solving design flaws.
